LuxuryRecovery

Editorial policy

How this is written, checked, and kept independent.

LuxuryRecovery is an editorial directory. Every program is assessed against the same criteria, rankings are argued rather than sold, and nothing a center does changes what a review says.

01 · Authorship

Who writes it.

Articles and center profiles are produced by the LuxuryRecovery editorial team and published under that collective byline. Every page is edited before it goes live.

Factual claims about a program — accreditation, licensing, clinical staff, intake size — are checked against public records and the program’s own published materials. Google ratings and review counts are transcribed from each program’s live profile rather than estimated or averaged across sister locations, and they are dated where they appear.

Photographs belong to the centers and are credited to them. We do not claim them as our own work and we do not watermark them.

02 · Clinical review

What “reviewed” means.

Clinical content is reviewed by Benjamin Grysman, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist in New York. He reads articles that make clinical claims and either approves them or returns them with corrections. He reviews for accuracy and balance.

Three limits worth stating plainly. He is one reviewer, not a board or a panel — we never describe him as more than that. He does not write the articles and takes no part in choosing which centers are listed. And he has no financial relationship with any center in the directory.

An article carries his name only after he has approved that specific text, and the approval date is published. If the prose is substantively rewritten later, the approval lapses and the badge comes off until he reviews it again. Cosmetic edits — a new photograph, a layout change — do not affect it. Pages without a reviewer badge have not been clinically reviewed, and we would rather show the gap than imply a review that never happened.

Nothing here is medical advice. This directory is a research starting point. Decisions about care belong with a licensed clinician who knows the person involved.

03 · Featured partners

Who is featured.

Our featured partners are Tikvah Lake Recovery, Park Manor Recovery, Maui Recovery and Amend Malibu. Each is labelled as a featured partner on its own page.

Rankings are argued from the criteria in our methodology, and where a heavily-marketed program fails those criteria we say so by name.

04 · Corrections

Getting it wrong.

Programs change. Clinical directors leave, accreditations lapse, bed counts move. If something on this site is wrong, and we will check it against the source. Where we were wrong, we fix it. Where the program has changed, we update the entry and the date.

A center disagreeing with our assessment is not by itself a correction. We will always re-check a fact, and we will not remove a fair criticism because it is unwelcome. Every removal request is handled exactly the same way, whoever it comes from.

To submit a program for consideration, or to reach the editorial desk about anything else, the same works. Press enquiries have their own route on the press page.
