What executive treatment actually asks

For someone in public life or at the head of an organization, the clinical needs are the same as anyone’s; the operational needs are not. The questions worth putting to any program at this tier are specific: how connected can I stay to essential work, and on what schedule? How is confidentiality built into staff contracts? Who, exactly, is in the room delivering therapy: senior clinicians, or junior counselors supervised from elsewhere?

A note on Lahaina

In August 2023, wildfire tore through the historic town of Lahaina, killing more than a hundred people.³Maui Recovery sits just south, off Punakea Loop in Launiupoko. It’s an area evacuated as the fire spread, and a handful of nearby structures were damaged,³though it was spared the near-total destruction of the town center. The program is operating today, and West Maui is open to visitors. Lahaina’s rebuild is real but unhurried: roughly a hundred structures completed so far, hundreds more under construction, and families steadily returning.⁴ If being close to that recovery matters to you, it is a fair and worthwhile question to put to the program directly.
