In short
Luxury alcohol rehab is private residential treatment for alcohol use disorder in a small program, usually six to twelve guests. A stay typically runs 30 to 90 days: medically supervised withdrawal first, then individual therapy most days, care for the depression, anxiety or trauma underneath the drinking, family sessions and a plan for the months after. Three programs in our directory have confirmed their 30-day starting rates: Park Manor Recovery in Florida about $55,000, Maui Recovery in Hawaii about $60,000, and Tikvah Lake Recovery in Florida about $70,000.

What a stay includes
More clinical time per person, not just a better room.
Withdrawal, safely. Stopping after heavy daily drinking should happen under medical supervision, because alcohol withdrawal can range from uncomfortable to life-threatening1. Some programs manage it on site; others admit once a detox unit has finished it. Either can work. What matters is knowing which one you are choosing before the day you arrive.
Therapy most days. In a house of six or eight, individual sessions carry most of the week and group work stays small. Common approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing: practical methods for spotting what sets off a drink and doing something else.
Care for what sits underneath. Drinking often travels with depression, anxiety, trauma or burnout. A program that treats both at once, with a psychiatrist involved, gives the sobriety something to stand on. Our guide to dual diagnosis covers this in more depth.
Medication, if you want it. Three medications are approved in the United States to help people stop or cut back and to prevent a return to drinking, and none of them is addictive2. A good program discusses them with you and lets you decide.
Family and the months after. Family sessions during the stay, and an aftercare plan that connects you with a therapist and physician at home before you leave. The first ninety days after discharge are when that plan earns its keep.
Is this the right level of care
When residential makes sense for drinking.
Residential treatment makes the most sense for someone who has tried outpatient care and returned to drinking, whose drinking has caused health problems, whose home makes stopping hard, or whose drinking runs alongside depression, anxiety or trauma that also needs treatment. Someone who can stop safely and has steady support at home may do well with intensive outpatient care first.
If there is a risk of harm right now, call 911 or go to an emergency room. For a mental-health crisis, call or text 9887. A residential program comes after that, not instead of it.
What it costs
Luxury alcohol rehab cost, in confirmed numbers.
Three programs that treat alcohol use disorder have given us their 30-day starting rates, and each approved the figure before we published it: Park Manor Recovery about $55,0006, Maui Recovery about $60,0004, and Tikvah Lake Recovery about $70,0005. The price follows how few people a program takes and how much clinical time each of them gets.
Most programs at this level are private-pay. Some accept PPO out-of-network benefits and check them before admission; our guide to whether luxury rehab takes insurance explains how that works. The regional breakdowns are in Florida rehab costs and Hawaii rehab costs.

Featured partners of LuxuryRecovery named in this section: Maui Recovery, Tikvah Lake Recovery and Park Manor Recovery.
Maui Recovery holds up to eight guests across three homes on twenty acres above Lahaina, Hawaii, and is accredited by The Joint Commission. It treats alcohol use disorder alongside trauma, depression and other conditions, and picks up directly after medical stabilization. The distance from home is part of the point: weeks where old routines cannot reach. From about $60,000 for 30 days. Their site.
Tikvah Lake Recovery takes six guests at a time in a 15,000-square-foot house on a 200-acre lake in Sebring, Florida. It is CARF accredited and admits for alcohol and opioid use alongside depression, anxiety and trauma, with more individual therapy than group. From about $70,000 for 30 days. Their site.
Park Manor Recovery is Tikvah Lake’s sister house twenty-five minutes north in Avon Park: six beds beside a private lake, CARF accredited, with the same medical director, Dr. Jose Toledo, MD. It puts particular weight on the medical side of recovery, and its rate of about $55,000 for 30 days is the lowest confirmed six-bed figure in our directory. Their site.

Before you choose
Five questions for every admissions call.
- Where is withdrawal managed, and who is responsible for it medically?
- How many individual therapy hours will I have each week, and with whom?
- Who treats the depression, anxiety or trauma, and how often do I see a psychiatrist?
- Do you discuss the approved medications for alcohol use disorder with every guest?
- What does aftercare look like for the first ninety days, and is it in the rate?
