First, a name. The program trades as Amend Treatment, at 6758 Wildlife Road in Malibu, and is often called Amend Malibu after the town. It is not connected to Amend Wellness in Elgin, Texas, a separate business that shares part of the name.
The program sits above the Malibu coastline and takes six guests at a time, each in a private room, with its own clinical team and its own intake calendar.
That number shapes everything else about the place: the staff know your name by the second day, and therapy is individual rather than group-led.
The clinical focus is what separates Amend from most of the coast.
